Workshops for Theresa and Sarah are at 9:30am and 1:30pm.  Sign up for which time you prefer.  Keynote speakers will be speaking from 9:00am – 3:00pm with a lunch break.  See the schedule below.

Update:  If you are an educator in St. Johns County, The Community Empowerment Series has been approved for in-service hours.  Please register on SunGard and sign-in when you arrive on Saturday, March 29th at The Dance Company’s exhibitors table. Daycare providers can also earn in-service hours.

Online registration is highly recommended.

Theresa’s workshop description (9:30am & 1:30pm):

Sarah’s workshop description (9:30am & 1:30pm):

Being a girl isn’t always easy, and growing up is far from a walk in the park. So join Sarah Burningham, a real-life big sister, at the GIRL TO GIRL workshops, and get some advice on navigating all of life’s big moments, from first bras to first periods. The author of three books, including the new Girl to Girl: Honest Talk About Growing Up and Your Changing Body, Sarah will share stories and tips on how to care for your skin, deal with body odor and shaving, find the right bra, handle your first period, create healthy habits, and more! Perfect for girls—and their parents!—the workshops also give insight into Sarah’s research with doctors, nurses, psychologists, as well as hundreds of girls and their parents, while answering questions from girls in a fun, comforting way.
